Hello all!
We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. For over a decade, Cheryl and I have been enjoying the Family Update we receive each year from our friends Bill and Joan. We admired their willingness to give those around them an inside peek into their personal lives. It is one of those pieces of mail that we look forward to receiving every year! This year we decided to take a page from their book with our very own Family Update.
Cheryl and I can’t believe that 2022 is already ending. Where did the time go? (Cliché I know, but true nonetheless) Reflecting on the year, 2022 is a turning point for our family. One of those life event moments you know is coming but are never fully prepared for. Our youngest, Emma, has left the nest for her Frosh year at Bentley University! The entire family is super excited for her to have this experience. She was one who always took a purposeful approach to her academics and today it has paid off with her acceptance to the university.
Our two boys, Andy and Tyler, flew the coop a few years ago and live in Nashua, NH. They both have joined Mom and Stepdad in the financial services industry with Fidelity. In 2022, Tyler the middle child, joined his brother at Fidelity in their 401(k) department. Six months after joining the firm he was promoted and now is dedicating his time to their high net-worth clients. Meanwhile, Andy received some exciting news just this past week! He was promoted to Fidelity’s Vero Beach branch where he will serve as the Investment Consultant. The details of his move are actively being worked on, but we suspect he will have relocated by the end of January.
Cheryl and I are super proud of these kids and appreciate that our family has much to be grateful for.
So…in 2022 Cheryl and I joined the “empty nesters” club. It was a bit of an adjustment being just the two of us, but we never seem to have trouble staying busy.
All our furry family members are doing well too. Caico (German Shepherd), Ellie (Yellow Lab), Willow (Guinea Pig), and Quest (the horse).
As some of you know, my Mom has been battling lung cancer for the past 3-years. February of this year Mom suffered a seizure which is how we learned it has moved to her brain. The wonderful team at Dana Farber has worked with our family to provide Mom with the best treatment plan possible. I am super happy to let you know, between her radiation and targeted drug therapy, the tumors shrunk! She’s doing so well the Drs approved her to go back to work. Mom is the oldest and longest active employee for Andover, MA where she has been serving as a school crossing guard for nearly 50-years.
There is much for our family to be grateful for as 2022 ends. Thank you to all our family, friends, clients, and supporters. We appreciate you!
